EPDM sealing strip
EPDM rubber is a terpolymer of ethylene, propylene and non-conjugated diene. Its main characteristic is its excellent resistance to oxidation, ozone and corrosion. Since EPDM belongs to the family of polyolefins, it has excellent vulcanization properties and has a very low specific gravity among all rubbers. It can absorb a large amount of filler and oil without affecting the characteristics. The main chain of EPDM rubber is composed of chemically stable saturated hydrocarbons and only contains unsaturated double bonds in the side chain, so it is basically a saturated rubber. Since there are no polar substituents in the molecular structure and the cohesive energy between molecules is low, the molecular chain can maintain flexibility in a wide temperature range.
